In liefdevolle herinnering In loving memory

Ten women have been found since July 2026 in Kempton Park, surrounding parts of Ekurhuleni and — this week — Soweto. SAPS has released the names of seven confirmed victims and taken three suspects into custody.

'n Tiende vrou is dié week in Soweto gevind — 'n afsonderlike ondersoek is geopen. A tenth woman was found in Soweto this week — a separate investigation has been opened. One woman has yet to be identified, and another's name is being withheld until her family has been informed. Each of them was someone's daughter, sister, mother or friend.

Three suspects were arrested the week of 21 September — a first major breakthrough. A multidisciplinary police task team continues investigating whether the cases are linked. Spare a thought for families' grief and privacy — the pain doesn't belong on social media, but our silence shouldn't let violence against women continue.
